Studying in Australia - Student Visas

Detailed information on applying for, and being granted, a Student Visa is available on the Internet site of the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC).

Applications for Student visas must be lodged at the Australian High Commission Visa Section on :

Tuesday and Thursday from 9.30 am to 12.00 ( Noon)

The visa application charge (VAC) for a Student Visa is MUR 17,200 equivalent to Aud 535

The Australian High Commission accepts payment of VACs in Mauritian rupees only. Payment must be made in cash or by bank guaranteed cheques made payable to 'Australian High Commission'. Other methods of payments (eg company/personal cheques and bank transfers) cannot be accepted.
Payments using credit cards are processed in Australian Dollars (AUD) only (Mastercard, Visa, AMEX, Diners, JCB).
Note: If paying by credit card in Australian Dollars you may incur banking and currency conversion fees and you accept the risk associated with any currency fluctuations.
