Facilitated Commercial Flight to Perth, Australia, on Air Mauritius 5 June

A special Air Mauritius passenger and cargo flight (MK440) is scheduled to depart Mauritius Friday 5 June 2020 at 20:30hrs for Perth, Western Australia. This humanitarian flight is being organised by Air Mauritius in conjunction with the Government of Mauritius to repatriate Mauritian nationals from Australia on 6 June 2020.

 

Subject to approvals by Australian authorities, Air Mauritius will uplift Australians seeking to return home on the outward flight to Perth on a commercial basis.

 

This facilitated commercial flight provides an opportunity for Australians who have been unable to return home due to the COVID-19 pandemic and travel disruptions to do so.

 

The cost of the ticket Mauritius/Perth is Rs26,908 (inclusive) for those that do not already hold a valid Air Mauritius ticket. Seats are limited.

 

Australian passport holders should contact the Air Mauritius call centre directly to purchase a ticket (Tel: 207 7575, 8am to 8pm). Those without an Australian passport should contact the Australian High Commission (email: [email protected]) to confirm eligibility prior to booking. Passengers will be required to carry their own face masks on check-in.

 

Only eligible travellers will be allowed entry into Australia on this flight.  This includes Australian citizens, permanent residents, and their immediate family, and New Zealand citizens usually resident in Australia. All travellers arriving in Australia are required to undertake a mandatory 14-day quarantine at designated facilities (for example, a hotel) in the port of entry which will be Perth.  Travellers will be responsible for any domestic onward travel arrangements required.
